OPEN STUDIO
Open Studio
Open Studio is a space where artists of all ages create, share and connect through art. At the Museum of Children's Arts (MOCHA) we believe that art and art-making is for everyone and we have designed our Open Studio to operate under this philosophy. Artists are free to explore whatever captivates their interest and the MOCHA artist will always be available to help locate materials, provide technical instruction, and suggest age appropriate activities. Open Studio is designed for children 0-10, but we also welcome older siblings and caregivers to participate in the art making.
Although these hands-on experiences are an integral part of the museum, MOCHA also invites visitors to peruse its community-inspired exhibitions, such as its displays of original pieces created by local artists as well as students of the Oakland Unified School District.
