Oakland Public Library

MOCHA returns to the library, beginning Fall 2022 to offer FREE weekly art workshops at 11 Oakland Public Library branches. Join MOCHA Teaching Artists in these workshops for children and families. Each week the Teaching Artist will present art related to a different theme, building creativity, socio-emotional, and academic skills through painting, drawing, sculpting, and numerous other art forms.

Support and funding for these programs are part of LEAP (Library Education and Art Program). LEAP is funded by a CA State Library grant for the 2022-2023 school year. This grant is keeping our library program accessible to the greater Oakland community.

Funding Support

This 2023-2024 school year, in collaboration with our friends at Oakland Public Libraries and made possible from a CA State Library grant, MOCHA is able to offer weekly art workshops at 11 library branches of the Oakland Public Library.
