scholarship programs at mocha

Mocha's mission is to ensure that the arts are a fundamental part of the lives of all children. Our scholarship program helps to bring the arts to a diverse group of children and youth throughout the Bay Area.

Scholarship Availability

We have a limited number of scholarships, based on available funding. As our paid camp enrollments subsidize our scholarship program, we will not know until six to four weeks prior to a program start how much funding is available. Once we have determined the amount of scholarship funding, we will immediately process all scholarship applications and let you know what we are able to offer your child.

Types of Scholarships

financial scholarships

We offer financial scholarships, which range from 25%-50% discount on tuition. Please note that the scholarships are available for tuition only and may not be applied to pre- and aftercare.

equity scholarships

Should you wish to further reduce your camp costs, we offer equity scholarships, in which you may trade volunteer hours for a discount on tuition. You may combine volunteer hours with a financial scholarship to reduce your tuition up to a maximum of 90% of the total cost. Volunteer work may include preparation of materials for camp, mailings, and studio-clean up. If you wish to work directly with children, you will need to complete volunteer orientation and training through our Volunteer Program.

marcus foster educational institute youth grants

Children and youth grants are available through the Marcus Foster Educational Institute. Awards are granted to young people to pursue camps of their interest. Here is the link to recieve an application: MAFEI Children & Youth Grants
