BRIDGING WALLS OF HOPE
June 3-29, 2008

Taking its name and inspiration from a project created by youth and adult students at the School of Art and Open Studio in Perquin, El Salvador, this exhibit centers on two ideas: that communities that have been torn apart during war can be reunified through the process of art-making and that all people have the right and ability to make art. The exhibit is curated by MOCHA teaching artist Chelsea Hikes, who worked with children at the school in summer 2007, in collaboration with the artists of Perquin.
